10) Will the Enrich Points validity change?

Answer
- Enrich Points earned through qualifying activities are valid for 3 years from the month they are credited.

- Enrich Bonus Points awarded through promotions are valid for 1 year from the month they are credited.

Answer
- Elite Points will continue to be calculated based on distance flown and the cabin class. Enhanced recognition applies for mid-to-long haul  Business Class and Business Suite travels.

12) Can I still redeem the same way?

Answer
- Redemptions remain unchanged. Flights, upgrades and lifestyle rewards can still be redeemed via Malaysia Airlines website, Malaysia Airlines mobile app, Malaysia Airlines Global Contact Centre and Malaysia Airlines Ticket Office.

13) I am a frequent traveller on Economy class for short-haul flight. Why is there no change to the Elite Points earning?

Answer
- The program updates focus on rewarding mid-to-long haul Business Class and Business Suite travel, where the fare contribution and travel patterns are higher. For Economy short-haul flights, the Elite Points earning remains the same. Regardless of your tier, every flight you take continues to earn Enrich Points toward rewards and Elite Status, helping you progress to unlock additional benefits and privileges.

14) Will I earn Enrich Points and Elite Points from seat upgrades whether the upgrade is from bidding, paid by cash or points, or free upgrade?

Answer
- Enrich members earn Enrich Points based on the original ticket fare. Elite Points are awarded based on the seat upgrade.

If an Enrich member successfully upgrades to Business Class, they will earn 10 Elite Points.

- No Enrich Points or Elite Points will be awarded for free upgrade.

25) How are Elite Points calculated for any seat upgrades?

Answer

26) I am close to qualifying under the Elite Status Requirement for 2026 qualification. Will I lose out?

Answer

Members who do not meet the revised qualification requirements can continue to earn additional Elite Points through eligible travel and lifestyle transactions. You can also take advantage of Bonus Elite Points during tactical promotions to help fast-track your tier renewal.
