Silver, Gold, and Platinum members will be rewarded with more Enrich Points for every RM1 spent on Malaysia Airlines and Firefly, accelerating their rewards, and enabling bigger travel and lifestyle redemptions.

Earn more Elite Points on Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, and oneworld member airlines, especially when flying Business Class or Business Suite.

 


 

Note: When flying with oneworld member airlines, Premium Economy will be treated as Economy, and First Class as Business Suite for the purpose of Elite Points calculation.

1) Why is Enrich making these changes? 

Answer 
- This is part of our continuous improvement approach to offer Enrich members better recognition, fairer tier progression and more rewarding experiences based on travel and activity with Malaysia Airlines and partners. 

 

2) What are the key changes? 

Answer
- Update on Enrich Points earning multipliers for Silver, Gold and Platinum members.

Update on Elite Status benefits. 

- Silver members will now receive 10kg extra baggage allowance and priority baggage handling. 

- The Silver and Platinum Companion cards will be digitalised and accessible via the Malaysia Airlines mobile app. 

- Lounge access entitlement for Platinum Companion will no longer be extended to their guest.  
 

3) When will the changes take effect?

Answer
- Enrich Points earning multiplier, Elite Points earning table, revised Elite Status requirements for 2027 qualification, and updated Enrich Status Benefits will take effect on 01 January 2026. 
 

4) Will my current Enrich Points be affected?

Answer
- Your existing Enrich Points remain valid until expiry. The updated multipliers apply only to Enrich Points earned from flights flown on or after 01 January 2026. 
 

5) Will my Elite Status change on 01 January 2026?

Answer
- Your current Elite status remains valid until your card expiry date. For the 2026 membership year, tier qualification will continue to follow the current requirements for 2025 (Silver: 30, Gold: 60, Platinum: 100), based on Elite Points earned in 2025. 

- The revised tier qualification requirements (Silver: 35, Gold: 70, Platinum: 140) will take effect from Elite Points earned in 2026, which will determine your tier for the 2027 membership year. 
 

6) Do the updated Elite Points earning rules apply to Firefly, oneworld or other partner airlines?

Answer
- The updated Elite Points earning rules apply to qualifying flights by Firefly and oneworld Member Airlines. Non-oneworld or other partner flights remain ineligible.
 

7) Which airlines will follow the revised Enrich Points and Elite Points tables?

Answer
- Enrich Points multiplier: Malaysia Airlines and Firefly. 
- Elite Points table: Malaysia Airlines, Firefly and oneworld Member Airlines (eligible booking classes).  

8) How will earning Enrich Points change?

Answer
- Enrich Elite members will now earn more Enrich Points. For every RM1 spent on Malaysia Airlines and Firefly flights, the Enrich Points multiplier will be 1.8 for Silver members, 2.2 for Gold members, and 2.5 for Platinum members.  
 

9) I’m a Blue member. Why is there no change to the Enrich Points multiplier for Blue?

Answer
- As a Blue member, your multiplier remains 1.5 Enrich Points per RM1 spent. The upcoming program updates are focused on rewarding members in Silver, Gold, and Platinum tiers who travel more frequently.  

- Your loyalty is still valued, and every flight you take continues to earn Points toward rewards and Elite Status, giving you the opportunity to progress to Silver and unlock additional travel benefits and lifestyle privileges. 
 

10) Will the Enrich Points validity change?

Answer
- Enrich Points earned through qualifying activities are valid for 3 years from the month they are credited. 

- Enrich Bonus Points awarded through promotions are valid for 1 year from the month they are credited. 
 

11) Will Elite Points be earned differently?

Answer
- Elite Points will continue to be calculated based on distance flown and the cabin class. Enhanced recognition applies for mid-to-long haul  Business Class and Business Suite travels.  
 

12) Can I still redeem the same way?

Answer
- Redemptions remain unchanged. Flights, upgrades and lifestyle rewards can still be redeemed via Malaysia Airlines website, Malaysia Airlines mobile app, Malaysia Airlines Global Contact Centre and Malaysia Airlines Ticket Office. 
 

13) I am a frequent traveller on Economy class for short-haul flight. Why is there no change to the Elite Points earning?

Answer
- The program updates focus on rewarding mid-to-long haul Business Class and Business Suite travel, where the fare contribution and travel patterns are higher. For Economy short-haul flights, the Elite Points earning remains the same. Regardless of your tier, every flight you take continues to earn Enrich Points toward rewards and Elite Status, helping you progress to unlock additional benefits and privileges. 

14) What’s new for Elite Members?

Answer
- Increased Enrich Points earning allows Enrich members to redeem flights and experiences sooner. 

- 10kg extra baggage allowance and priority baggage handling for Silver members.

- Card issuance for Silver and Platinum Companion will be fully digital. 


15) Will members enjoy the incremental perks for Enrich Silver status when flying with other oneworld alliance members? 

Answer
- The incremental benefits for Enrich Silver status apply only when flying with Malaysia Airlines flights.

- When travelling with other oneworld member airlines, members will continue to enjoy the standard oneworld Ruby benefits associated with Silver status.
 

16) As a Silver member, do I still get the physical card?

Answer
- The Enrich Silver card will be fully digitalised and accessible via the Malaysia Airlines mobile app.  
 

17) As a Platinum member, can my Platinum Companion bring a guest to the eligible lounges?

Answer
- Effective 01 January 2026, only the principal Enrich Platinum member may bring one (1) guest into eligible lounges. 
- Lounge access for the Platinum Companion will be limited to the cardholder only and will no longer include a guest. 
 

18) As a Platinum Companion cardholder, do I still get the physical card?

Answer
- Effective 01 January 2026, the Platinum Companion card will be digitalised and accessible via the Malaysia Airlines mobile app.


19) Are Enrich status benefits applicable only to Malaysia Airlines flights? What about Firefly? 

Answer
- Enrich status benefits including priority services and baggage allowance are applicable only when flying with Malaysia Airlines.

- For Firefly flights, the standard Firefly baggage allowance applies, and Enrich benefits may not be aligned.

- We recommend checking your flight details and fare conditions before travel.

20) Why is Business Suite listed for Zone 1 and 2 flights when it’s unavailable?

Answer
- Although Business Suite is currently not offered on these routes, it remains listed for potential future aircraft deployments or route changes. The same applies to premium cabins on oneworld carriers. 
 

21) What if I booked a flight in 2025 but travel in 2026?

Answer
- Enrich Points and Elite Points are credited based on completion of travel date, not at the booking date. Flights flown on or after 01 January 2026 will earn points under the enhanced structure. 
 

22) How are Elite Points calculated for any seat upgrades?

Answer
- Elite Points are adjusted based on flown cabin. For example, if an Economy Class ticket (earning 4 Elite Points) is upgraded to Business Class (earning 6 Elite Points), an additional 2 Elite Points will be awarded, totalling 6 Elite Points. 
 

23) I am close to qualifying under the Elite Status Requirement for 2026 qualification. Will I lose out?

Answer
- Flights flown by 31 December 2025 will continue to follow the current Elite status requirement (Silver: 30, Gold: 60, Platinum: 100) for 2026 qualification. 

- The revised Elite status requirement (Silver: 35, Gold: 70, Platinum: 140) will determine your status for 2027 qualification. 
 

24) If I have 120 Elite Points as of 31 December 2025, will I be Platinum in 2026?

Answer
- Yes. With 120 Elite Points earned by 31 December 2025, you meet the Platinum qualification requirement of 100 Elite Points for 2025. This means you’ll enjoy Platinum status throughout the 2026 membership year. 
 

25) Will there be fast track or status match options for the revised Elite status requirement for 2026 qualification?

Answer
- Fast track Elite tier status is currently exclusive to principal AmBank Enrich Visa Credit cardholders, offering a 30% reduction in required Elite Points. The card available only to Malaysian citizens and residents.

- No general status match programme has been announced. 
 

26) Will members receive a status extension if they don’t meet the revised Elite Status requirement?

Answer
- Automatic status extensions will not be offered. Members who do not meet the revised qualification requirements can continue to earn additional Elite Points through eligible travel and lifestyle transactions. You can also take advantage of Bonus Elite Points during tactical promotions to help fast-track your tier renewal. 

27) Where can Enrich members seek clarification after the changes?
